Operators and Punctuation

  • Arithmetic: +, -, *, /, ^
  • Comparison: =, <>, <, <=, >, >=
  • Grouping and access: (, ), [, ], ., \
  • Separators: , and :
  • Line continuation: a standalone _ at the end of a physical line
  • : is currently used for label statements.
  • [ and ] are used for index expressions.
  • ( and ) are used for grouping, calls, parameter lists, and Dim dimensions.
  • . and \ are both used for member access.

Type, Field, and New are used by the user-defined type system.
